Whidby is a public elementary school located in the Greater OST/South Union neighborhood. The school is part of Houston ISD and opened in 1960. It was named after Tina E. Whidby (1892–1945), a prominent civic leader and educator. Whidby is a zoned school for area residents as well as a health sciences magnet school. The school is affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine and implements its health science curriculum.
