Harvard Elementary is located in the Greater Heights. It originally opened in 1898, and the current 1912 structure became part of Houston ISD in 1921. Harvard serves as a zoned elementary school and offers students in other parts of the district a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) magnet program. Additionally, the school is an accredited International Baccalaureate World School and nationally recognized as a Blue Ribbon School.
