Hartsfield is an elementary school located in the Greater OST/ South Union neighborhood. It is part of Houston ISD, and a public, zoned elementary school as well as a magnet school for animal and environmental sciences. Hartsfield opened in 1916. Its unique offerings include courses in livestock and domestic care, and a junior master gardener program. The school is a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School. Hartsfield is also part of the Arts Access Initiative.
