Field Elementary School is located in the Greater Heights. It was built in 1929 and is referred to as the “pink school on Studewood.” Part of HISD, Field is a zoned school for neighborhood residents. It was named after the poet Eugene Field. The school features extensive outdoor learning areas. Its mission is to, “provide an environment where students excel and are encouraged to do their best.”
