Crockett Elementary is a Houston ISD, zoned and magnet school located in the Washington Avenue/Memorial Park neighborhood. It predates the Houston school district and was founded in 1912, rebuilt in 1980, and renovated in 2011. It is a zoned school as well as a magnet school for the performing and visual arts. The campus, located in Houston’s First Ward and Washington Avenue Arts District, is named after Davy Crockett. Every student has the opportunity to choose two fine arts programs to specialize in during their elementary years.
