Crespo Elementary is located in Pecan Park, close to the Port of Houston. The school, build in 1992, is named after the city’s first Hispanic police officer, Manuel Crespo. It is a public zoned and magnet elementary school affiliated with Houston ISD. Crespo serves as a fine arts magnet offering enrichment in art, strings/music, dance, drama, and digital arts/technology. It has an artist in residence from the Houston Symphony, offering each 3rd through 5th grade student in-depth lessons in orchestral composition, performance and listening.
