Annunciation Orthodox School is a primary school (prek3 through 8th grade) located in Montrose. The school was founded in 1970. A private, co-educational school, affiliated with the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral (Eastern Orthodox), the School promotes high standards for academic achievement including STEAM education, a strong culture that allows the whole child to develop and enjoy emotional health and well-being through spiritual and moral guidance from an Orthodox Christian perspective, a robust fine arts program, and the promotion of physical health and education.  Having grown from a ministry of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, AOS maintains its Greek heritage, language and educational philosophy in the teaching of the Greek language and culture, religion classes, Chapel service, and exploration of content through discovery learning, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and citizenship.  The school is currently expanding its campus to include a new early childhood and lower school facility, cafeteria, and playground space.
